The last week or so, it has been raining on and off. Not just sprinkling, but really raining and sometimes storming. My husband keeps huffing everytime it starts. He has been trying to put a sand box together for the boys, and also take them fishing with their new poles. But I keep reminding him that this rain is good for our garden (what is left of it ). And though the rain makes it a bit messier to get to the chickens to feed them, I really have enjoyed it. I like to sit on my front porch and just feel the neat breeze. Oh, how I would love a hammock! (To have on the porch of course ) It is so soothing to just listen to the trees move in the breeze and hear the rain coming off the roof.
Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

We have been having a drought here in Central Texas. We desperately need rain. I look forward to, Lord willing, the next rain when I can sit out on the front porch and feel the neat breeze. What a beautiful picture! Thanks. Cassie

We certainly could use some of thta wet stuff here right now. It would be a great h elp to the firefighters and residents who have been displaced. It is not hardly likely to happen this time of year though.
Sitting on the front proch and feeling the neat breeze reminds me of being stationed on Guam during the Viet Nam war. The only time it neated off over there was when it rained. We used to take patio chairs and actually sit out in the rain to take advantage of the neatness of God's life giving water. People thought we were nuts but it sure felt good!
