Our family has been reading a book titled Praying Effectively for the Lost
It is powerful. I would recommend everyone to get a copy of it and read it. it is a donation based ministry.

Here is the link http://www.pelministries.org/

Here is a quote from chapter three.

" There are two factors or conditions involved in every answered prayer- righteousness and faith. The imputed righteousness of Christ, which comes through His shed blood, is what gives us boldness to approach His throne of grace. It is absolutely indispensable for effective prayer. But personal righteousness is also crucial for psalm 66:18 says, " If I regard iniquity in my heart , the Lord will not here me."

I like what Bro. Keith Daniel says: When we ask something according to Gods will He has a Holy obligation to answer our prayers.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:1,2

Your welcome!

Maybe anyone else that gets this book can share their thoughts on it.

Sister Lisa, this has nothing to do with you or even your post but I have a bit of a difficulty with that web site and ministry. I went to the web site and looked at each link and could find no statement of faith posted. That may not make a difference to some but to me it is extremely important to know the stance a person or ministry has before viewing any of their material.

I know the site says it has over one million of these books in print now. That is perhaps a blessing. However I have to keep in mind that Rick Warren has many millions of his books in print, has misguided countless numbers of people and has quite a reputation among his followers.

Can you tell me anything more about thhis man or the ministry? I really would like too give it a fair chance but just do not feel comfortable in doing it. Please understand this is nothing more than a personal choice for me but a very important one.

In Christ,
George

Bro. George
Thank you very much for sharing your honest concerns. If Something is in error I want to very much be told. Other than this book I know nothing about this man. I got the book at the family camp that I went to when I went to hear Keith Daniels The pastor who is a very godly man was encouraging every one to read it. And the book seems to be very scripturally sound.

I understand your concerns and understand totally. If you would rather not read no hard feelings. One thought is maybe you could e mail them and ask them for their doctrinal statement.

Again thank you and blessings to you Lisa
