No problem Sister Nancy! I like visiting old topics in case something new I can learn or maybe it's a topic I completely missed the first time around. It's best to not even let your sons and daughters join Boys or Girl Scouts. My girls are in 4-H but I didn't realize about the homosexual issue. Our club is all members of our Christian homeschool group. I plan on checking the California State 4-H website and see if there is such an ordinance there. It wouldn't surprise not one bit with California being such a liberal state. I wish there were Keepers at Home groups here. I would love to have my daughters be in such a group. I wish I had the organizing skills to start one myself.

Here's the information I got from the CA 4-H site. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ University of California Non-discrimination The University of California prohibits discrimination or harassment of any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy (including childbirth, and medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth), physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related or genetic characteristics), ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or status as a covered veteran (covered veterans are special disabled veterans, recently separated veterans, Vietnam era veterans, or any other veterans who served on active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized) in any of its programs or activities.
University policy is intended to be consistent with the provisions of applicable State and Federal laws.
Inquiries regarding the University's nondiscrimination policies may be directed to the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Director, University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources, 1111 Franklin St., 6th Floor, Oakland, CA 94607, (510) 987-0096.
More information may be found at the University of California Affirmative Action Office
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~So it looks like if an gay family wanted to join our club or become a leader then we would have to allow it.
