I was wondering what most of your days look like? While we homeschool all five children, we spend about three to four hours a day homeschooling. I am just wondering how that would compare to others.
Our day looks like this. 5 to 6 everyone is up and dressed and rooms are cleaned 6 to 7 animals are taken care of and breakfast is ate. 7 to 8 laudry is done and hung out. 8 to 12 school. after that it is a matter or lunch, dinner prep and then animal care again. We also do more school if there is anyone not done with there lesson.
Any help would be great

We are going to do some major changes to our scheduling around here this year. I used to have a very tight reign on routine here, believe it or not, but I have become faint in keeping it up with all that has happened this past year. So many moves, major changes, emotional times for the family. It's all blessings and joy, to be sure, but it certainly did not help my routine any.l I listened to new people, took new advice and am reaping the bad fruit of that now
I will definitely let you know what we work out here. We are schooling 4 children, keeping 3 younger ones occupied and joyful, and, of course, taking care of momma on top of all this. There are a lot of factors to consider in our scheduling here. I haven't finalized anything yet, but it will be unwelcome to children who have been allowed freedom in schooling and daily task management, I'm sure.
Wish us luck! Sister Deanna

Sister Deanna. We are not have a problem with four of the children however the youngest one is the hardest one of all. The sad thing is he is so smart that it just kills me... He knows what he is doing and what is expected out of him however he seems to think it is ok to slack off on his work. I just do not understand it at all.. I do know that with stress and all I am not handling things the way i used to. Maybe that is the whole problem. Maybe it is not him but me...

When it comes to scheduling, I'm not very organized.. I do have a "plan" but we don't seem to follow it much. I watch 2 girls in the mornings and get them on the bus for their mom. So I'm up at 6. The girls get on the bus at 8 or so. My kids get up about 8 or 8:30. They are supposed to do their own devotion and be dressed and have eaten by 9:30 am. That's when we start school. We school until about 2 or 3, depending on how they do on each thing.. then we start getting ready for the evening.. supper and such.. right now we have basketball on Tuesdays and Fridays.. and as I looked at the schedule, we also have some games on Thursday. Wednesday night is Church.. I like the kids to be in bed by 9 or 9:30.. That is a basic plan for our days.. I'm working on tweaking it so that it's more organized and God honoring (re: my basketball post under "Competition".. ;D). And like I said, this is what I would like to happen each day, but it doesn't always work out like that.. ;D
