This is a way to help children learn Bible verses. We know that it is always easier to memorize when there is a "system." Children who have learned their alphabet can learn one short verse for each letter of the alphabet. When they have done this, they will have 26 verses "hidden" in their hearts. (Psalm 119:11) That's a pretty special blessing!
Adults can memorize, too. It seems harder, I know; but it is possible. And you, too, can start with 26 short verses . . . one for each letter of the alphabet. You really do need the "Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" for your daily walk. (Ephesians 6:17b)
