I like this I'm going to get one for my girls. "Cooking is a skill your children will need for life! Why not make your kitchen a classroom and begin teaching them this skill as soon as they are old enough to help and follow directions? Reading recipes teaches skills about following directions in sequence and using measuring cups/spoons is an easy way to teach fractions. Not to mention the fun of dividing up a big round pizza into eighths! MARMEE'S KITCHEN PRIMER is a great resource from GREENE ACRES PUBLICATIONS. It is set in an old-fashioned primer style, as a first textbook for the subject of cooking and keeping of proper kitchen....... www.marmeeskitchen.com/kitchen_classroom.htm

I am so excited!!!!!! We have decided to take the worldliness out of Christmas and things like this would be great. I visited this sight and I love this book and the little kid cook wear. These are going on the Christmas shopping list. Thank-You so much for this info. Heather

You may want to checkout there damaged/sale section. I went ahead and bought a not so perfect Primer for a lot less. I don't know if they have more or not, but it would be worth a try. I am also going to use their ideas on the miniature cook wear and see what I can find at Wal-Mart that is comparable. I am going to fix both girls up a basket, but Brianna's will have more since she is 10 and Liberty is 4. I mentioned this book to Bri and she liked it. Dh was excited too. We already have our children plan and fix at least one meal a week even if it's just hotdogs or the likes. I believe it gets them to thinking about '"real life". In real life food doesn't just appear on the table. ;D Heather
