My children and hubby all love Ranch dressing for their salads and raw veggies, but I hate to feed them the junk that comes in the bottle. One of my missionary buddies gave me this recipe, and it is delicious! Compared to this, the bottled stuff has a wierd aftertaste. Blend together one cup of plain yogurt, one cup of mayonnaise (from health food store or homemade), and 1/2 tsp of each: sea salt, garlic powder & onion powder (adjust to your taste). Stir in one Tbsp of dried parsley. If it is too thick for you, add water or milk until it's the consistency you want (thinner for dressing, thicker for dips). Note: I like to add cracked pepper sometimes, or dried diced red bell pepper for variation. It's all good.

I make homemade ranch all the time! Very similar to yours. I do add a pinch of dried mustard, paprika, and ground pepper. I do equal parts mayo to buttermilk. Our family loves it.
