Dear Sisters, Here are some sites that have plain dress patterns, ladies who sew plain dresses and also free patterns. www.leenas.com,www.finitesite.com/vesselsofmercy, www.wendysmodestdress.com, www.quakerjane.com, www.plainlydressed.com, www.candleonthehill.net, home.mindspring.com/~angeliakay/id2.html (this site has directions for making a plain apron, and soon cape dress) I also have some jumper dress patterns I have designed for the beginning seamstress, they are just a pull over the head type jumperdress, no zippers, buttons or fluff :-) they take me about 1 hour to cut and sew, if you are interested in getting a pattern, please email me offline at peaceflheart@yahoo.com, I only ask for postage reimbursement. God bless, Penny

Sisters, I am not sure how many of you know about the "Sloper" pattern, it is in every major pattern manufacturer's group..they are usually the ones in the very front or back..If JoAnn's has the sale on Butterick, Simplicity, etc...ask for a sloper..they go from many sizes and you can customize your fit with these based on your measurements...This is more for those of you who have some sewing experience or have someone who can help you...
I hope this helps...on the Burrell's site, they show how to make the apron, which also can be used for the Cape part of a Cape dress....
God bless, Sister Penny
