A Psalm of David The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1
With a heart that is quiet like a child, and eyes fixed upon our loving Father, let us let Him lead us this week. May God give us a spirit that is able to hear his voice and be lead by Him.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my [sheep], and am known of mine.
How wonderful it is to know that our Good Shepherd knows us by name, knows our strengths and weaknesses, and still leads us by His loving hand. We can trust him. Why?
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Because He would lay His life down for us, we can lay our lives down for Him. Paul said we are to count our lives as sacrificed already.
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
When we lift up our own plans and our own agenda, and our own dogma over His glorious soverign plan, we take away His freedom to lead us as He needs to for our own good.
Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
All the things of this world are products of the counterfeit shepherd. He is a thief.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
When we follow the wrong things we suffer loss, are sacrificed to worthless things, and can be destroyed. However, the Good Shepherd is come that we might have abundant life!
This week, let's put our hand in His and walk with our loving Shepherd. Keep you ears open to His voice.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
