I took 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite sized chunks and stir fried til done.
Add 1 head of chopped fresh broccoli, steam a bit
In another pan, make a roux (1 cup flour with 1 cup butter) brown gently and add about 2 or more cups of milk and whisk on medium heat until thickened and bubbly, this is going to be the sauce, I added another 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, some garlic powder and whisked it more..then put on low to keep warm.
In yet another pan :-) boil up your pasta, I used the remains of a leftover bag of egg noodles and also bow ties, cook til tender.
drain the noodles. pour the sauce over them, mix throughout and then add the meat mixture and stir up.
You could at this point pour into a greased casserole dish and top w/bread crumbs and bake another 15 minutes or so...but it was a quick dinner as we had to attend a choral concert of my daughter's so it was served as is.
Hubby and daughter both enjoyed this. Sister Penny

Hi Sis, your casserole sounds yummy. I like that it doesn't take any special ingredients just foods I already have! Can't wait to try it. Carole
