This is for all those who suffer, who God in His wisdom has not chose to heal. Bro Ben and I definitely believe in healing, we have seen the mighty hand of God bring complete healing. The Lord does not always choose to heal, but this we know, He walks with us and comforts and encourages us along the way and brings peace that passeth all understanding. Suffering is humbling and draws us closer to God, for this we are so thankful.
I am also thankful for the testimony of Fanny Crosby, and let me add... for ''Bro Ben'' who is crippled with rheumatoid arthritis, he could be on disability or welfare but he goes out every day to the work place to provide for our family, he says it's his therapy, he says if he took disability he would sit home and shrivel up and be unable to walk at all. He is such a testimony to those who truly know him, and who see him in pain, and crippled... but such a surviver, and faithful provider for his family...He's my hero, he's precious to me, I'm so glad God gave me Ben.
Fanny Crosby, the great hymn writer, said of her lifelong blindness:
"It seemed intended by the blessed providence of God that I should be blind all my life, and I thank him for the dispensation. If perfect earthly sight were offered me tomorrow I would not accept it. I might not have sung hymns to the praise of God if I had been distracted by the beautiful and interesting things about me."
"If I had a choice, I would still choose to remain blind...for when I die, the first face I will ever see will be the face of my blessed Saviour."

These thoughts from fanny Crosby are such a blessing and also a challenge to me. I have much to be thankful for yet how many times do I complain about my trials. There are so many that suffer more than me yet suffer quietly. In all the years I have seen my mom suffer I have never heard her complain. Her faith and love for the Lord has been such an encouragement to me. Even though she is not perfect she has always set forth an example of trying to do only what the Lord wants for her. Her life to me is such a godly example to me.
My dad also suffers. and like Bro. Ben would still rather work and support his family than stay home and do nothing. Though outsiders do not see the pain he is in when he comes home from work His family does. and we are so grateful for him and the life he has lived before us. Neither of my parents are perfect however they both have a sincere desire to just do what the Lord wants them to do. I praise God for my parents who have both suffered for years with painful health conditions. yet do it without complaining. Simply taking one day at a time. Living their life for the Lord. How I thank the Lord for Godly parents as not everyone has this blessing. Praise God for his undeserved blessings!!

Dearest sister Lisa,
Thank you for sharing about your father with us. I do understand. It is hard to watch your dad or husband suffer so, it's a lonely road, people just do not understand.
That was a sweet and encouraging testimony you gave about both your mother and father...I wish I could meet them..your whole family, yall sound like a sweet family that loves, and lives for the Lord.
May the Lord bless, and keep your dear family, and provide all your needs, and guide your path.
I Love you, ~ sister Darlene ~

Thanks sister Darlene for your kind words. God does provide for our every need. IT is just amazing how he provides even when we do not know where it is coming from He does!! Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I remember reading C.H Spurgeon, he suffered with depression most of his life, and gout.

Dearest Gail,
I too read that about C.H Spurgeon. He would have such deep bouts of depression, that he would lay in his dear wifes lap and she would read the Word of God to Him, and he would come back to being encouraged in the Lord.
The Word of God is quick and Powerful. And Prayer also is a very Powerful tool to remember to use to fight the enemies attacks. We might become to weak to read but we can always cry out to God in prayer, even in a coma. I've heard of people crying out to God while in a Comatose state, when everyone around them thought they were practically dead, they could hear what others were saying in heir hospital room and they could pray. Isn't that neat!

Isn't that neat! " My oldest brother who died a year ago this month spent two years in a vegetative state. He would not respond to anything. However when people would come in to his room and read the Bible his face would light up and he would try to speak. The only other time he would try to talk was when one of the brothers in the church went to visit him and asked him if he was saved. Then Jason's face would light up and he would grunt and try to use his voice. It is so amazing how Powerful indeed God's word is. blessings Lisa

Are You Ever Troubled? "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you …" (John 14:27). There are times in our lives when our peace is based simply on our own ignorance. But when we are awakened to the realities of life, true inner peace is impossible unless it is received from Jesus. When our Lord speaks peace, He creates peace, because the words that He speaks are always "spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). Have I ever received what Jesus speaks? "… My peace I give to you …"—a peace that comes from looking into His face and fully understanding and receiving His quiet contentment. Are you severely troubled right now? Are you afraid and confused by the waves and the turbulence God sovereignly allows to enter your life? Have you left no stone of your faith unturned, yet still not found any well of peace, joy, or comfort? Does your life seem completely barren to you? Then look up and receive the quiet contentment of the Lord Jesus. Reflecting His peace is proof that you are right with God, because you are exhibiting the freedom to turn your mind to Him. If you are not right with God, you can never turn your mind anywhere but on yourself. Allowing anything to hide the face of Jesus Christ from you either causes you to become troubled or gives you a false sense of security. With regard to the problem that is pressing in on you right now, are you "looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12:2) and receiving peace from Him? If so, He will be a gracious blessing of peace exhibited in and through you. But if you only try to worry your way out of the problem, you destroy His effectiveness in you, and you deserve whatever you get. We become troubled because we have not been taking Him into account. When a person confers with Jesus Christ, the confusion stops, because there is no confusion in Him. Lay everything out before Him, and when you are faced with difficulty, bereavement, and sorrow, listen to Him say, "Let not your heart be troubled …" (John 14:27). Oswald Chamber MUFHH
