Yes, you guessed it, we found out this morning that Darlene is pregnant with number nine! We are soooo excited. We announced it to the children this morning and they were extatic! I made this little poem up for the grandmothers that are always not real excited when they hear we are having ANOTHER baby. Go in the house, Have a seat in the den, Have a sip of cold water, Your a grandma again! ;D One chuckled and said, "So, what does that mean?" and Darlene told her, "It means I'm pregnant." Her grandmother then exclaimed, "Oh, Darlene, I was hoping this wouldn't happen." Then her mother, upon hearing the poem, said, "No!" She was even less excited than the grandmother. But the more she talked to them the more they excepted the facts. Her father on the other hand, laughed with glee, and was so happy, and told her, "If anybody says anything negative about you being pregnant again, just tell them you've been thinking about adopting twins!" Ha-ha! Darlene was wise enough to call him first. He loved the poem, and thanked her for having another grandchild for him. Oh, by the way, he has eight of his own and loves big families. Keep Darlene and the baby in your prayers. Pray for their health, for finding a good midwife, and for the house to be finished very soon. Oh yea...we think her due date will be Dec. 10th if we have made proper calculations.

Brother and Sister,
Praise the Lord!!!!!! Children are such a blessing from the Lord.
People often ask us if our Hannah was an accident, after all we are considered to be past that stage in life and should be enjoying grand children, we just smile and say nope ;D
We will be keeping you in our prayers.
With God there are no accidents in our lives, just happenings.

Thank You!
We are elated! I think we are more happy than ever...It was such a ''surprise'' and such a ''sweet gift'' from God.
I am taking careful measures to eat right, it is hard for me because I do not get hungry often. Eating is an effort for me sometimes. I am making sure I rest Alot! I'm going to start walking and riding my stationary bike and mild exercising. This will be helpful.
I'm going to start a message board for Christian pregnant women over 35. I just turned 42 March 1st I think it could be helpful and encouraging. I sure can learn alot from others. Nutrition is important to me. My body is pretty depleted after 8 pregnancies.
I have such a peace and I feel so blessed, I walk around on cloud 9 ...carring our 9th baby, it's great!
My little boy (Caleb) will be 5 in Aug. The baby is due 3 months after he turns 5. It's been a while since God gave us a baby. I have learned alot over the past 21 years but it feels so new. I've been reading and studying up on nutrition and taking lots of notes.
I had a pregnancy test that I bought at Wal Mart, it showed positive on Sunday. On Monday I went to the Pregnancy Support Center here in town. It is a christian organization that gives free pregnancy test, they help women choose life instead of abortion. People who aren't considering abortion go there for a free pregnancy test if they need one. I've only been there two other times. They are so sweet and encouraging. They have classes they give for free. I'm going to take a few classes, they will be helpful and informative. I'm taking my first class on ''The First Trimester'' on Thursday...I'm going to take one on Nutrition also. They have offered me a free Sonogram, this will be so helpful, because we have to drive over and hour and pay 100.00 it will be at least 150.00 with gas. I go April 22
Please continue to pray for us...we have so much going on right now...Benjamin is moving back home this weekend! He found a great job where he worked as a horse groomer when he was 18, now they are hiring him as a Trainer at a Tennessee Walker Barn just down the street from our house, he will bring home 350.00 a week plus bonuses at horse shows. We are so glad for him. We've missed him so bad.
Please pray the house get's finished quickly We need to be in and settled before I get too far along.
Please pray we can sell our farm animals, we are thinning our flocks and herds. We can use the $ This is very important.
What a blessing you all are to me. 'm glad yall are happy for us. This i a special time for us.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

Ben and Darlene,
Congratulations on the newest blessing to come! I'm sorry your family isn't supportive--we can relate. Kevin's parents think it is wrong for us to homeschool next year and have said they will not support our decision to have more children. We will pray for a happy healthy pregnancy.
Bethany and Kevin

Proverbs 17 : 6
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
Psalm 113 : 9
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

Psalm 127 : 3, 4, 5
3 - Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 - As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 - Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Psalm 128 : 3
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Congratulations, Bro. Ben and Sis. Darlene! What wonderful news! I will pray for your health, Sis. Darlene, as you carry this sweet little one. I've noticed the more babies I have, the more attention I must give to maintaining my health. Glad you are taking such care of yourself! I agree with the person who said no woman should have children after 35... 35 children are enough for any woman! Love, Sis Tammy

Dear Precious Sisters,
Thank You for all the love and support! Pregnancy at 42 is great so far.
My body is so tired, I rest alot. Praise the Lord I have older children to help me run the house and help with the children. Bro. Ben says he's going to pamper me and help me take it easy and eat right this pregnancy. Other pregnancy's I have been so busy doing so much to keep everything rolling around the house and I have always been nursing and pregnant for so long and 2 or 3 in diapers at a time. But now my youngest is now 4 1/2 and my oldest girl 16 1/2 and things are so much nicer for me. I have time to read, rest, eat right, take nutrition and pregnancy classes, etc. I even have had time to start a Discussion group for '' Christian Pregnant Women Over 35 !/b]'' I hope the Lord will bless my efforts. It will be a place where Christian women who are over 35 can come and encourage each other, and share helpful tips.pregnantover35.proboards50.com/index.c.cgi?If you know of any Christian Pregnant Women over 35, please invite them to my pregnancy site!
Let me know if you like it, or if there are any improvements I can make.
Thank you for all the good advice and for caring about me so sweetly, sister!
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~Dear sister, Yes 11 years ago I broke my back. It healed somewhat, but every time I had a a baby it would give me a little trouble for about the first three months after giving birth. When I birthed our last baby he was turned and I had 36 hours of back labor then when he finally came out it re-broke my back. I could not look down for weeks, I could not step up on a curb, or swing my legs into the van ( I had to put my legs in by lifting them with my arms,) much less I was hardly able to get up in the van , ''I had to use a stool,'' I had a very hard time getting to a standing position from a sitting position, this lasted for 2 1/2 years until the Lord gloriously healed me. Through all this pain and suffering I was too chicken to go to the Doctor for back surgery, we could not afford it and I had a family to raise. I knew if I was going to get better and be healed of my chronic pain and problem, that the Lord Jesus Christ would have to heal me, like He did so many times in the bible and still does all around the world to those who put their desperate trust in Him. I had to abandon all hope of getting healed any other way to realize it would be Christ and Christ alone that would heal me...and He did heal me! It's been over two years and my back ( lower back is doing great! ) I have scoliosis and have for many many years, it is aggravated with each pregnancy. My chiropractor warned me with my 4th pregnancy that I should not have any more children, I told him ''that my womb was the Lords and it was up to the Lord if I had any more children,'' I had 4 more pregnancy's after that, then he closed my womb again for 4 1/2 years, and now He has seen fit to give us another precious child to raise for Him. God is so good and He is in control! Thank you all for praying for me. Prayer is the key! Thank you.
