This is our favorite recipe. They do not last long around here. One thing my dad likes is when we leave out the chocolate chips and instead of walnuts we use almonds. This really gives the cookies a different but delicious flavor.
1 cup(2 sticks butter) 1 1|2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 1|2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 2 table spoons milk 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 2|4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1|2 teaspoon salt ( optional) 2 1|2 cup quick or old fashioned UN cooked oatmeal one 212 ounce semi-sweet chocolate pieces. 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts. ( we use walnuts)
Heat over to 375 degrees F. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla beat well. Add flour , baking soda and salt: mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces and nuts: mix well Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls and flatten onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12-13 minutes for a crisp cookie.

one 212 ounce semi-sweet chocolate pieces. That's about 36 cups worth of chips... ;D ;D
Are these cookies called ''gooey chocolate blops''? ;D
As much as I like chocolate...I'd probably love them.
Hey that sounds good...adding almonds. I love almonds. My favorite chocolate bar is a ''Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds." I have one on my desk right now, it takes me weeks to eat just one bar. I pop off a few pieces when I think about having a little chocolate. I'm not much for sweets, though I do enjoy sweets. I'm eating pop corn right now. yummy!
I'll post a few of our favorite cookies here soon. We have 6 daughters, 3 bake so far and we have alot of favorites.
My daughter is going to try your yummy sounding cookies, we will just add 1 12oz bag as to not over do it with the 36 cups of chocolate chips, it's a little costly. ;D ;D ;D
just kidding with you, I know it was a typo, I make those myself...Spell check is my favorite tool.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~
