Thank you for your prayers! My problem is I go through my busy day and I forget to eat. If I do not eat several times ( mini meals...a hand full of almonds or raisins, or crackers etc.) a day then my metabolism will stay asleep and I will not loose any lbs. I would like to loose a few lbs now that I'm not pregnant and my lower back is better.
I just need prayer that I will know when and what to eat. I have to practically set a timer to remember and then nothing sounds good to eat because I'm not hungry, and I get full fast. I'm not gaining lbs. I'm just not loosing.
One has to set his mind to do something if it's going to get done. If I take my mind off of trying to eat regularly...then I wont eat much at all.
If I knew what to eat it would be easier. My snacks are getting dull. The same ole same ole. kwim.
If anyone has any yummy things I could eat, please post.
Thank you again Bro. George.

Debbie, Today Bonnie made me the tastiest most satisfying snack! She sliced a potato real thin and sprayed the George Foreman Grill with non stick spray, then overlapped the potatoes and sprinkled Citrus Grill Seasoning over and grilled until done...she had to repeat this three times to make one potato. It seemed like I was getting alot to eat, though it was only one potato. ;D It was sooooo good! Have a great evening!

Please be careful when using non-stick cooking sprays. They can be both dangerous and hazardous to your health. Let me give you part of an article I found on the internet about them. I have checked out the source for the article. It is a valid site.
"A glance at the list of ingredients shows that in addition to oil, many cooking sprays contain such ingredients as soy lecithin, propellants, alcohol and dimethylpolysiloxane.
Soy lecithin, a sludgelike by-product of the soybean oil industry, is an emulsifying agent that extends the shelf life of products. Propellants such as propane and sobutane propel the oil out of the can and dimethylpolysiloxane (DMPS for short) is basically liquid silicone, used in household, personal and car care products. DMPS is used as an anti-foaming agent in the production of foods such as beer, soft drinks and fried foods as well as canned fruit and some low-fat yogurts and cottage cheese.
Although nonstick sprays promise fat-free cooking, they do contain oil. A 1-second spray of aerosol cooking oil yields slightly less than 1 gram of fat. So if you spray a large skillet for 5 seconds or so, you add about 5 grams of fat."
Take a look at that! In most of those you are eating silicone, hydrocarbons, alcohol and maybe other poisons. Besides that they build up on your cookware and eventually ruin it.
In Christ, George

I do not believe in a diet. We just need to eat HEALTHY. That's all. Eat to glorify Jesus.
Butter and oil are good for us. Fat free and low fat is bad for us. We need good fat to help our bodies work properly. Eat a lot of good fat like Coconut oil, Palm oil, Olive oil, butter. Everything else that looks like and smells like butter and oil are REALLY bad for us. Meat protein is good for us too. Eggs are great they have Omega-3 and other vitamins. I eat 3-5 eggs a day and haven't gained a pound yet and my cholesterol is great. All graines have to be soaked for 12 to 24 hours in order to be properly degested. I knew that since I was a little child growing up in Russia. Millet is a miracle grain. Try it for breakfast for a weak. Well, I'll stop here for now.
The best way to lose weight is to be organized. Plan ahead. Make a schedule and stick to it. For example: get up at 7am pray, medetate on the Word of God. 8 am eat breakfast, 8:30 clean up and so on. When our life is in order and we always keep our selfs busy we would not struggle with addictions.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philip. 4:13
With Christs love,
Amy

Wow, Amy, All of that sounds really good. ;D Can you give us more? This sounds like so much common sense that we who are trying to lose weight need to hear. A lot of so-called "diets" are full of the nonsense that we have to cut out entire food groups to lose weight, but I think you're on the right track. Give us more, please!! Especially, tell us about grains. I know some of the ladies keep them on hand for breads, but I don't know much about just eating them, except that I have a bowl of oatmeal almost every day, but that comes out of a carton and says "Quick Oats". The eating of good fats is so true!! Even Weight Watchers says that you have to have a certain amount of them every day or you won't lose. I'm glad to see that you include butter as a good fat. People think that it's bad for you, but it's so much better than the fakes out there. And George is right on about non stick cooking sprays. I recently bought a new 9x13 baking pan, and the instructions say not to use it on the pan, to simply grease and flour according to recipe directions. Kinda makes me wonder what it's doing to my insides if it's not even good for my pans. I'm looking for a nice spray bottle so I can spray my olive oil onto my pans and save a few calories. That way I'll still get the benefits of the good oil, but have more control over how much is going into my pan. Just my 2 cents worth, Linda

Thank you Sister Linda. I thought no one would be interested in this kind of a diet. I have been on all kinds of diets. I spent so much money on my diets and all went to the drain. Until I start reading and researching about different ways of life style and nutrition and what really works and what is just a money making system. In fact most of the diets if not all are money making business. They don't want to tell you the truth. They either say eat everything you want and take this pill or eat so many calories, so many point and you'll lose weight. Why burden ourselfs with extra burden. Don't we have enough things to do besides counting our fat grams? I came to realise that we who live in America need to go back in time. My heart breaks when I see a mother buying fat free milk. Fat is needed to help break the protein in milk and other vitamins especially for a child. When I lived in Russia I never saw a big problem with weight problem. I never heard anybody talking about it and yet we ate bread with butter every day. Drank whole raw milk and ate whole sourcream and no one was ever sick or died from a disease. I do believe sometimes we need a break to cleanse our body from toxins. Since we don't always eat oraganic foods our bodies can be full of pesticides and other toxins. We used to do fast days just on spring water a day or two. Since I am nursing now I can't fast or I pass out. So what we do in our home we make a week only on vegatables and fruits. I try to buy fresh from a farmers market or buy organic. All week we eat all kinds of salads and vegetables and fruits steamed or raw. We add beans as a protein. Beans cooked with butter and spices, or fried in palm oil with lots of onions and garlic and so on. For dessert we eat dry fruit like prunes, pineapple, apricots. Shakes made from fresh or frozen strawberries, lemon and water and you can add a good quality cream. Yam yam. We need to be carefull about following Government Food Guides. Our Government is very corrupted. About grains. A lot of people say they can't eat them because they are heavy on their stomach. Most of the problem comes we never soak them. We are too in a hurry. Like you said just open a box of Quik Oats. We try never use quick type foods. I try to always think ahead. If I know we are going to eat Oatmeal in the morning I soak them the night before in filtered water with a Tbsp of lemon or whey. Then in the morning I pour out (you don't have to) the water it's been soaked in and pour in fresh just bring to a boil and it's ready. Soaking makes cooking fast. Same process for beans, rice and other grains. With rice and beans I bring them to a boil then collect the foam or sometimes pour the water out and cover with fresh boiling water and continue cooking either in a crock pot or on top of the stove. I nurse my baby and eat a lot of grains and beans and my baby never had a stomach ache. He never been coliky yet. Praise the Lord. Buckwheat, millet and quinoa are good alkalizing grains. This is what I found out about millet " Millet has the highest calcium content of all grains adn is rich in B vitamins. When eaten regulary, millet provides natural rebuilding of bone cartilage and connective tissue, giving relief to arthritis sufferers and other painful conditions."One more thing juice made from organic cabbage, Italian parsley and carrot can help you not only loose weight but can cleanse your intestence, purify your blood and cleanse you from toxins in your body. Can't drink more then a Tbsp of parsley it can make you nauseas. Parsley is a powerful detoxifyer (is there such a word? ). I hope this helped. Please understand I am not against people dieting and I don't have anything against them. It's their choice and they are free to do that. I am just simply saying there is a better way. I did lose 30 lb and been staying this way for 5 years now going on 6 and never gained back anything. I simply eat healthy. God is good and the earth is full of his goodness and glory. In Him, Amy

Thanks, Amy. That was extremely interesting. I think it's great that you've lost so much weight this way, and I will be thinking about adding fresh grains to my diet. I did go and buy some stone ground hard red wheat flour to make some bread. So that will be going into our diet shortly. This grain thing is really interesting, and I do know how good they are for us, I just don't know how to get them. I'll have to do some research and figure this out. Again, thanks a lot, Linda

Thank you dear sisters. That was very sweet of you to want to hear more from me. I am just like you still learning and gaining knowleadge in what has been lost in America over the years.
I don't usually post much because I spend a lot of time with my little one and my husband. I try to limit my time on the internet. I'll try to post more though.
This time I'll write little bit about what I learned about different types of oils. I said before that I use butter, olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil in my kitchen. Also duck or goose fat, lard, not the store bought that's full of preservatives, is good for fying. Well this time I want to say little bit about other fats. Margarine and all commercial vegetalbe oils, including soy oil, canola oil and corn oil and any products made with these in them are abundant in the wrong kinds of fats - trans-fatty acids- and contribute to weight gain, depression, cardiovascular desease adn other health problems. Soy oil and soy products should never be given to to children. Safflower, Sunflower and flax oil should be only cold pressed and consumed cold never heated. Safflower and Sunflower contain minimal amount of Omega-3 and a large amount of Omega -6 which can be dangerous to your health.
Yes if you gain your knowledge from FDA food books then you won't agree with the information provided but do a research on your own in places other then companies who support our government and you'll find a lot of good beneficial information that government doesn't tell people. We know that shots for children are dangerous and thousands of children either get sick or die from shots but people still do it because drug companies tell government it's good for our children. Which is a big lie.
I think this is enough for today. God bless you dear sisters.
By His Grace,
Amy
PS. If my sentences don't make sence English is my second language my first one is Russian so I try to do my best. Thank you.

Dearest sister Amy, Your sentences make better sense than some that are written by people who were born here!!! ;D I love what you are teaching us. Please keep it coming when you have time. Don't ever think that we want you to take time away from your precious family. We will just be sitting here impatiently waiting for you. I'm just kidding, of course. You really seem to know what you are talking about, and I am so eager to learn. I have another 25 or 30 pounds to lose, and my DS needs to lose quite a bit. And even if I don't lose any more weight, at least I'll be healthier because of incorporating your sound advice into my diet. I do think that getting us healthier is the most important thing. Love, Linda
