Here is an excellent web site that every parent deciding whether or not to vaccinate should read. They also have a book titled Vaccines are they really safe and effective. that is very worth reading. www.thinktwice.com/

I absolutely agree with you. I have the book and the information in it is amazing. It helped us a lot when we were making the vaccine decision.

Thank you for the link. My husband and I are TTC and we have not yet had the vaccine discussion. My husband's father was a doctor and his mother was a registered nurse, so traditional medicine and vaccination were highly encouraged in their family. My husband gets the flu jab every year. I will submit to whatever his final decision is, but I want him to be educated on the matter and not simply accept vaccines at face value.
My son was vaccinated through eight months and I stopped his initial vaccine program after that. Because of my decision, I have only one general practitioner in my area who will treat my son and it's only on an urgent care basis. The other GPs and pediatricians refuse to see him, because he isn't fully vaccinated.
Our local schools require so many vaccinations. You have to be vaccinated against pneumonia, meningitis, chickenpox, HPV, and influenza if they are in preschool.

We are blessed to have a Christian pediatrician that homeschools his own children and homesteads. There are very few vaccinations that he actually recommends so we trust his recommendations. On many vaccinations he says "your children are homeschooled so you don't have to do this to satisfy the school and I don't really see any need in it".
