Help! I am looking for a pattern for a sunbonnet, you know the old fashioned kind. Generally made of calico with a wide brim. I guess the best way to describe it is like "Little House on the Prairie". I live in Colorado and we are at an elevation of 7,000+ ft, that makes us closer to the sun and the sun is brutal on skin and eyes. Sunglasses take care of the eyes, but I'm 58 years old and I think I've endured enough sunburns! I love to garden so I'm out in the sun as often as possible. Anyway if any of you have found a good source online for free patterns to sew sunbonnets and would let me know I would be ever so grateful.! Thanks and I'm praying for you all, hope you will pray for me too. Blessings, Sister Pam (Johanna)

Greetings, Johanna. I was given this wonderful site for patterns and I have found them very very easy to use. Anyway here is the link to their sunbonnet pattern www.candleonthehill.net/store/catalog.php?item=326
If you need more shade on your face just increase the length of the brim where it attaches to the body. Hope this helps you.
