When everything seems dark, God likes to give us little blessings to remind us we's still watching over us
Decent, feminine shoes seem to be in short supply these days (especially when you're on a budget and have hard to fit feet.) I have been wearing shoes that look more like tennis shoes without ties for several years, and I have really been wanting a nicer pair of feminine shoes, but we never seem to be able to find anything decent. I found a pair I really liked a while back online, but when I got them in, they didn't fit. The other day I found another pair I liked, but I could only find them online, and we weren't going to try that again.
So, Thursday night I was feeling pretty sick and not at all looking forward to the day in Dallas we had planned (shopping for Moses' work) We don't have air in the car and the city heat can be unbearable when I'm well (especially in slow traffic) As we were getting ready for bed, it just "occurred" ;D to me to look one more time for a store with those shoes.
Sure enough, Famous footwear carries them. They have a shoe locator feature on their website, but of the some 2 doz. stores in the Dallas area carried my size and both of them would have been 45min. out of our way. I tried again with a size larger and found a third store that had this one and it was close to where we were going anyway. Sure enough they fit perfectly. On top of that they were on sale for $35 (from $65) AND they are having a buy one get one 1/2 off which includes sale items! So I was able to get a second pair for $17

Besides all that, God provided us with a beautiful cloud cover until 1 and good traffic conditions, so we had a very lovely day in town. (And Moses found all the parts he was needing)
