We are studying and memorizing: Romans 14:1-8 1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

I have a wretched short term memory (whoo for epilepsy lol) so I can't remember verses well.
Do you find studying them helps you remember them more?

Yes we do. It's nice to have the Bible with us even when we don't have the Bible with us, if you know what I mean. We were memorizing Bible verses a long time before we went to BBI and being able to recall the verses really helped with the courses. I don't always have a good memory either but I like to have God's Word written on my heart.

Kat That's a great idea, Katrina. Good for you! Proverbs are short little self-contained verses more often than not and I think they are a great place to start.
I thought I would do some searching on the internet for Bible memory systems and found three promising ones, especially the one from the Navigators because it uses a theme or topic to help you remember. Then there's the one that uses music to jog the memory. Hope these help!
Topical Memory System - The Navigators Basic: Hide God's Word in Your Heart ... www.navigators.org/us/resources/illustrations/items/Topical%20Memory%20System
Scripture Memory System - Simply Charlotte Mason An easy yet effective system to memorize and recall hundreds of Bible verses. Takes about five minutes per day. simplycharlottemason.com/timesavers/memorysys/
Bible Memory System using music - Scripture Memory - Children & Adults Bible memory system makes scripture memory easy for children and adults. New Testament and Old Testament Bible memory verses are included in the Bible verse www.biblememorysystem.com/

I am studying Luke right now. This week it was chapter 12-15 that I studied. In church we are studying 1 Corinthians in the morning. Tomorrow I think we are in chapter 9. One of the Adult Sunday School classes is studying Ezekiel. I think they are in Chapter 20 something. Then on Wednesday evening the adults are studying Revelation. I know you were probably just asking about our personal life. But my church is a big part of my life right now.
