I don't use a specific recipe for sourdough bread. When I make my sourdough bread I simply use my starter for part of the liquid that my recipe calls for and follow the rest of the recipe. My recipe uses 1 1/2 cups buttermilk and when I want sourdough bread I use 1/4 to 1/2 cup starter depending on how tangy I want my bread. I use a bread machine to do my mixing because of health but I do make my bread myself. I will share my recipe tommorrow because my husband is making noises that it is time for bed. I am getting my files off the computer because I had a minor crash today and my daughter got it where I can get them off. Will write again tommorrow with the recipe.

Kat: Here is my bread recipe. I will put it as a 1/2 recipe. To Make a full recipe just double everything in the 1/2 recipe.
1/2 cup Buttermilk 1/4 cup Sourdough 2 Jumbo Eggs 1Jumbo & 1 Ex. Lg Egg Yolk 1/4 cup Butter 2 Tablespoons Honey 1 cup Unbleached A.P. Flour 2 cups Unbleached Bread Flour 2 Spoons Yeast
Measure Sourdough into large glass measuring cup. Add Buttermilk till the mixture measures 3/4 cup. Add the salt, eggs, egg yolks and honey and wisk until all these ingreadints are mixed well. Add to Bread machine bowl or bowl for mixing. Add Butter cut up into chunks and the A.P. Flour and Bread Flour. (I mix the ingreadients in the bread machine bowl so that it does not blow over the inside of the maching) Set the macine on dough and allow to mix for first mixing. Stop machine add yeast and reset the machine on dough and allow to finish to end.
My family loves this and I sometimes ad 1/2 cup of a mixture of flour in place of 1/2 cup of the A.P. Flour.
