Dear precious Holly,
I just spent hours writing you a long letter answering your heart felt questions. I went to post it and it said an error has occurred and wiped out my entire post.
I am exhausted and frustrated because all my thoughts are gone, last night I hurt my pointer finger (the one I type with ) and I cannot rewrite my post tonight.
I do understand your frustrations with trying to figure all this christian walk stuff out. It is doable.
If you want to talk, call me tonight if you can, I'll leave you my home phone #....If you call, I'll call you back on my dime. I do understand and care. I'll leave my # in your PM.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

What an interesting thread! We don't have tv but we do have a weather alert radio (tornadoes you know).
There's a problem my friend and I have been discussing and that is the constant presence of television everywhere we go! She went to a hospital to get some tests done and there was this television with a vile show on with explicit descriptions and profanity in the waiting area. Young children and preteens were present in that area and were able to hear every word of it. She got up and asked the receptionist to switch the channel to the Weather Channel or turn it off. The receptionist acted very cold but did as she asked.
If you go to Walmart there is a television in the check out line. If you go to the airport there is a television in every area. It amazes me to watch other people who can't keep their eyes off the screen. It's as if they are hypnotized by it.
Many years ago there was a science fiction novel we had to read in high school English class about a society that depended on television for everything: what to think, what to eat, what to wear, how to vote. It seems like life is imitating fiction.

Televisions are everywhere, resturants, doctors offices, clothing stores. You just can't escape the silly thing. Next thing you know they will be in the public potty rooms
