Unfortunately I do not have a recipe to share with you this morning but rather a question and a praise.
On to the question: Do any of you have a recipe for bread and butter pickles that you would like to share? A friend gave Sandra and I some last week and they were out of this world. I forgot to ask her how she made them and she lives out of town. So ladies (or men if there any others that enjoy cooking as much as I do) please share your recipe for bread and butter pickles. I would love to attempt to make them.
On to the praise: My mother, sister and brother-in-law gave us one of those giant, industrial strength Kitchen Aide mixers for our wedding. I used it yesterday for the first time. I made chocolate chip/walnut cookies. This thing whips out cookie dough like you would not believe. Now I am going to have to be baking a whole lot of things so I can play with my new toy. I call it mine because I am the cook in the household.
In Christ, George

Chef George, How fun. I actually like to cook, but between Darlene, 7 daughters, (approx. 4 who can cook/bake,) who gets a chance. Besides, I usually don't make the effort, I sit back and enjoy the benefits. Darlene and the girls just pickled different kinds of pickles. I'll let her know you are fishing for a recipe. Ben

I have a 6 qt Industrial size Kitchen Aid Mixer too, my grand mother and aunt pitched in years ago and bought it for me. We love it! You can even make bread with it. I have a great and easy recipe for Wheat Bread...made with healthy ingredients.
Bro Ben,
We (me and the girls and Caleb) are excited to see what you will cook for dinner tonight! ;D The kitchen is all yours.
You use to cook some tasty dishes when we were first together 25 years ago.
Bro Ben made home made from scratch Spaghetti for Mothers Day, we even had a guest we brought home with us from the grave yard at our church. We met her there that day while she was visiting her dead sons grave, he was 43 when he died. (Please pray for this woman to be born again soon), she really enjoyed the that day, so did we. Though he never cooks he has not lost the knack.
I can hardly wait.
Blessings to all!
