My name is Jamie Davidoff and this is my first post here. We attend a Southern Baptist church, where no one covers....I was just voted in church clerk and has found out that there are several problems within the church so we are riding it out to see what happens. As of now, I do not cover my head "completely" and I wear pants. I definitely believe in modesty and was just recently really convicted on covering, but the experience was a little strange. My husband is not against the covering, but his mother wears one and he sees a great deal of problems with being identified as ones that go to her church and DOES NOT want that at all. He has very valid reasons and I stand behind him 100%. I have started wearing a very wide headband as a covering thinking no one would be the wiser, eg. dh, but he caught on VERY quickly, lol, and not really sure how he feels about it, but when you are convicted so strongly on something, how can we ignore it??? Just please, if you feel led, keep us in your prayers.

Dear sister Jamie,
So glad to have you here with us! I will pray. Your testimony is so exciting, I love to hear how the Lord is working in the hearts of His people. May the Lord bless you greatly and work all these things out .
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

Welcome, Jamie! So nice to have you on. I wanted to comment on something you said: We DO NOT have to fit into the way other "churches" present themselves. Christ did not give us a 10 point list, (just like theirs,) but asked us to reflect HIM. Be modest, pursue it according to the scripture, and listen to the Lord, he is a sweet Shepherd of His sheep. We don't have to "fit in" with anyone elses "formula" to be accepted in the Beloved, that was done at Calvary. Good for you. I hope we can be a blessing and encouragment to you and your husband as we all try to follow after our Lord. Bro. Ben

Hello, and welcome to our fellowship Praying for you and your family. I remember when I first started wearing the covering I did it with "fear and trepidation" Now it feels so normal and feels weird and uncomfortable when I don't have it on. HUGS
