Well, if your a "christian" radio listener then you probably have noticed that zondervan publishing, is celebrating 30 years of the N_V translation of the bible. They did this by making a US tour promoting and selling this bible. One of the attractions was going to many US cities and getting 31000 people to each write one verse down in their own handwriting. They then scanned these and made a copy of a bible that had all these different hand written verses by people of all different ages. I think it was a nice way to get at least 31000 people to buy one for $99 each, so they could see the verse they had written down. As one man was stepping up to the table to write the verse he picked he was quoted as saying "I didn't know this verse was in the bible." To which I replied "that's because it's not" I don't think we can blame the spiritual slide in this country on this faulty translation alone, but we all know that satan has all the angles covered with his subtle attacks. A new generation now has a "biblical" standard to follow which doesn't guarantee a clear path through the straight and narrow

To make matters worse, they are coming out with a *new* N_V translation in 2011 - just in time for the 400th anniversary of the KJV

David Otis Fuller (1903 - 1988) was a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and Princeton Theological Seminary. He pastored Chelsea Baptist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the well known Wealthy Street Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. One of his great works was the book, 'Which Bible?' which dealt with the errors of the NIV and the reliability of our KJV. There is a downloadable sermon by Dr. Fuller and other men of God discussing this issue here, (you'll have to chose that message.) There are several other very good messages. Also, Dr. D.A. Waite is a very qualified speaker on the KJV. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminery and was a backer of the corrupt version until a church member challenged him about the superiority of the KJV. His studies caused him to become an adament supporter of the KJV. Here is his message, ' The Fourfold Superiority of the KJV,' (you'll have to scroll down to find it.)
