Hello Everyone: I am new to the site and I am wondering if anyone knows of a site that makes plain clothing for heaver women. It would have to be inexpensive because I am 100% disabled and my pension covers my husbands and my home and our bills but not much else. I do not sew anymore because of my disabilities and I would love to get some dresses that are inexpensive (no more than $10 to $15 ) and bonnets to match. (I like the bonnets the amish wear although I do have some that are like a scarf that I tie in the back (although I have been mistaken for a Catholic Nun a couple times when I wore the scarfs out). If anyone knows of a place where I can get some good clothing I would appreceate it.

Are you able to find acceptable clothing in thrift stores? While some of the outfits you might find there may be too worldly, some may be acceptable. Are denim jumpers ok for you, or do you feel that you need Amish/Mennonite style cape dresses and whatnot?
What about pairing shirts/blouses with skirts? Is that within your acceptable dress domain? You might be able to find a number of skirts at a thrift store that would fit you, and resizing skirts can be pretty easy, depending on the style and material.
