Hello everyone! I am new!
I'm Emily, the wife of Jeremy and mommy to Zane (also Belle and Penny our dogs). I am 25 and live in NE Ohio.
I am new to modest dress and covering. God convicted me to dress more modestly about 2 years ago, convicted me to start covering roughly 6 months ago, and start wearing modest skirts a few months ago. So when I say new, I mean really new! God is convicting me about the neckline of my shirts, this is something I will work on in the coming months/years.
Per my husband's request, I do not cover most of the time. I have his permission to cover during private prayer and Bible time at home, which I do. But other than that, I do not cover.
Not sure what else to say! I am glad to be here

Hi there, I'm Rachel (the American Rachel as we like to joke, as there is an Australian Rachel on the boards too, you will really love her!)
I'm wife to Jeff, mom to Jordyn and Levi. My story is really similar to yours, we are in southern Indiana.
Welcome, Rachel

Hi Emily,
I'm the aforementioned Australian Rachel. Surprisingly enough, I live in the Adelaide Hills, in South Australia. I'm 15 and I live with my mother, father, and 12-year-old sister (as well as 8 rabbits, 14 chickens, and 2 cats).
I've been dressing modestly (long skirts and high necklines) for about 5 or 6 years. I used to think it was sort of instinctual but now I believe it wa God leading me to dress that way. I've been headcovering for about 18 months or maybe almost 2 years now. I'm the only female in my family who headcoverings or dresses modestly (although my father does maintain a dress code; we have to cover our shoulders and stomach and not have revealing necklines, that's it). When I started covering he would only let me cover in my bedroom or when praying but after a few months (and me giving him lots of reading material and Bible verses as reference) he agreed that women should cover their heads when praying (and as per 1 Thessalonians 5:17), but he said he wasn't going to force my mother and sister to do it.
I digress. Back to the point, welcome to the forum! I hope you will like it here and find lots of good fellowship. From the Australian Rachel.
