Hello, everyone! I'm Mrs. Jacks. I am a thirty-one year old stay-at-home wife and mother. I have a precious nine year old son and a fifteen year old stepson. We are members of a small independent, conservative Baptist church. We live in the suburbs just north of Atlanta, GA, although my heart is for farm living. If God wills it, I always say I have been practicing head covering since February of last year with my husband's full permission and support. I actually started covering before I went skirts/dresses-only, surprisingly enough. I love to cook, bake, sew, knit, crochet, garden, home school my son, read, study the Bible, and clean. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hello - It is nice to meet you. We are from Auburn, Alabama - not too far from Atlanta. I hope you enjoy being a part - here as much as I have. I have learned a lot.
Love in Christ Kim

Hello Sister,
What is your name? Mine is Darlene, I'm Bro Ben's wife. We live South West of Nashville.
Nice to meet you. There are a few sisters that live close to you.
I hope our site is a blessing and and encouragement to you.
May the Lord bless you in your new adventure with Him.
We always lived in town, until 1996 when we rented a 15 acre farm with an old rickety farm house (those were the days, great memories! ), we lived there for 11 years, 4 years ago we built our first home on 12 1/2 acres. It's great! The lord has really blessed. He made it happen for us. Our hearts desire, our dream. It's humble, not fancy, and all ours. We love it and are so thankful.
Pray and the Lord can do the same for you. Farm life is great!
It's nice to have a small conservative church to go to where you can dress modest and cover and be accepted.
We started this site back in 2004 to find like minded Ind. Fund. Baptist who dress modest and cover. But the longer we go along we find that we are just plain Bible believing and practicing christians, and that we do not really agree with Ind. Fund. Baptist anymore, though we do believe somewhat like they do in doctrine, but not completely. As we study the scriptures we find them to be sorely lacking in practice and faith, and even some of what they believe doctrinally. This is sad to us. We have been Ind. Fund. Baptist our whole christian faith until 12 years ago when we walked away from it all. And I say all. Ben gave up everything to go to J.Frank Norris Bible Collage and study and graduate and give his all to the Ministry. We left all we knew, our people, our Religion, everything...To learn of and follow Christ instead of man. We always thought we were following Christ until our eyes were opened. We were sold out to man made Religion. We were great, strong, impressive Ind. Fund. Baptist. Cream of the Crop as our preacher use to say.
Now we study Gods word with a humble heart wanting to learn of Him and follow Him, which is alot harder than following man and alot less glamorous too, and less excepted by man, and very lonely at times.
But I have to say it is rewarding in many ways. God rewards. The choices we have made and the changes we have made in our christian walk are very rewarding. The Lords ways are beautiful!
Though religious people do not often understand. Matter of a fact they get quite mad about it. They like things to be done within their belief box. This goes for all religion circles. Gods ways are much higher than our ways and His thoughts much higher than our thoughts or understanding. We must seek Him with our whole heart with man made religion and thought set aside. It is hard to follow God when man is telling you that's not what the scripture is saying.
We long for the day when we can meet with other like minded believers in our area for worship, fellowship, and live close by for encouragement and christian support.
We are all the time in prayer about this and fervently seeking the Lord.
There are many of us scattered around America and beyond with no fellowship and no church (like minded believers) to go to, and call home. We press forward diligently raising our families for God alone.
Please pray for us as we will surely pray for you.
Love, ~ sister Darlene ~

Thank you all for the welcome. Sister Darlene, your testimony is beautiful. My name is Jennifer, by the way It's interesting living in the suburbs, because one does not oftentimes see women who veil. Occasionally I will see Muslim women wearing the hijab. And there is a group of Mennonites one city north of here. Occasionally I will see them at the Wal-Mart, a group of about twenty. I'm not sure what branch of the Mennonite church they belong to, but they dress plain, wear the cap style covering, and the women wear the modesty aprons over their cape dresses. Other than that, with the exception of African American women who wear fancy hats to Sunday service, women in my area simply do not cover at all, even in the IFB churches. But I will continue to veil, even though it oftentimes feels very lonely. Then again, when people find out you're a submissive wife who wears modest dresses only people even in conservative circles tend to cast you the sideways glance. Thank you again for the welcome and prayers. I will definitely keep Bro Ben and you in my prayers and lift up prayers for this wonderful ministry.

Hello fellow Georgian. I'm in the Augusta area.I think it is good your husband supports you. My husband does as well. My husband and I helped out one year in your area witnessing to Jews at a campus festival celebrating different cultures and it was the Jews turn. Hope of Israel Baptist Missions is in the Atlanta area. Bro. Fried's wife and daughter cover. They are members of a churh in Atlanta area but I think the mission is in powder springs.
Welcome to the board
