My name is Mary. My husband and I meet at a restaurant where we started talking and never stopped. We married on October 28, 2012. His name is Garry. We are looking forward to settling down a little more and expanding our family in the coming years.
I came from a Southern Baptist background. After meeting my husband, I began attending a Mennonite Church. I began covering in November. God has given me the opportunity to share the reason I chose to cover with believers and nonbelievers.
We live in the Byrneville community in Century, Florida. Garry had an adventurous childhood and was raised in Philadelphia, PA. As a teenager he moved with his family to rural PA to a town called Hugesville. I am a local. Native to Escambia County Florida, I grew up about 25 miles south of our current home.
Garry is self employed as an IT Consultant (aka, computer repairman). I work at a call center for a credit union. We recently purchased about ten acres of land. Garry is most excited to plant a large garden this spring…. Which means I’ll have my first experience with canning foods.
I am very excited to be part of this discussion board. I do not have internet in my home so I may not be timely in my response. (sorry!).
Thanks,
Mary[/color]

Hi Mary Alice. Let's see, you were raised near Molino or Cantonment then?? We lived in Cantonment for 3 years while my husband attended Bible College in Pensacola.
Century is such a pretty area, it's nice that it's inland a little bit.
You have a great growing season in that area! I remember the good gardens we had when we lived there.

Welcome to the group, Mary Alice. It's nice to meet yet another young person who values the head covering.
We're retired and RV fulltime. Right now we're parked at our son's because husband had cancer surgery.

Hi, I'm new here. I'm very interested in finding out if there are any HCB churches in the northeast.
Chris.

Chris, we have not encountered any (I am assuming you are talking about Head Covering Baptist churches). Perhaps if you started a new thread with this as your topic you might get a better response.

I'm afraid that head covering "Baptists" is an anomaly. Though for the last several years we've found more and more Baptist beievers wanting a more plain and simple life and head covering for the sisters, it is still quite rare to find an "actual" head covering Baptist church.
