Pro-family leader announces new group to fight homosexual activism Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com) Monday, February 24, 2014
The battle to promote the biblical view of homosexuality is going international.
Scott Lively, founder of Defend the Family, tells OneNewsNow there is a need to press on with sharing the Gospel, including what it says about the homosexual lifestyle,
"Especially the Western world, the pro-family movement has become disorganized and scattered," he claims. "There are very few leaders who are articulating the bold, biblical point of view that homosexuality itself is what's wrong, not just gay marriage or gay adoption, so we're stepping into that gap."
Lively A group of leaders, domestic and foreign, have endorsed formation of a new group called the Coalition for Family Values to "raise up enough voices of the smaller organizations that still have the courage to stand against the homosexual juggernaut in the West," Lively says.
The goal of the Coalition, he further explains, is to "roll back the LGBT agenda that has gone too far" in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe.
"And part of that strategy is to go to the countries that are still morally conservative," says Lively, "help them erect barriers to this agenda, and promote a coalition of morally conservative nations that have a Christian background."
And then use that as a springboard to bolster the pro-family efforts in western countries.
Various small organizations from Brazil to the United Kingdom and Europe are banding together to stand for and promote biblical values.
