Well, the situation with my leg sores became so severe I had to check into the hospital on Friday. What they've determined is that I have venus stasis. It is a poor vascular circulation issue that results in several things, namely severe swelling blood clots, and venus leg ulcers. They're actually treating the blood clots more aggressively because one could break loose and go to my lungs and I'd be a goner. Thr wound specialist will be in Monday to access their treatment. They have me on strong I.V. antibiotics. They give me 2 anticoagulate shots a day in the stomach, and 1 coumadin pill a day. I'll update this tomorrow.

I have been in the hospital 5 days. They found blood clots in one of my legs. They determined I have venus stasis. It can cause many things, but the 4 things I suffer from is poor circulation, swelling, blood clots (which can be lethal if one goes to the lungs,) and the sores that won't heal without major intervention. They began giving me 2 shots of anticoagulent a day and put me on coumadin to thin my blood to remedy the swelling, blood clots, and to stimulate blood flow. I had several types of bacteria in my system so they had me on IV antibiotics till Tuesday, then switched me to pills. I will be going to a wound clinic associated with the hospital until the sores are cleared up. They said I will only have to take the coumadin for about 6 months. I start physical therapy tomorrow to get me on my feet again. I have been flat on my back the whole time. The service and care at this hospital has been excellent. I have had opportunities to minister for our Lord to the nurses and caretakers. Eric Stutzman from the Dade City church came by to see me Saturday. We had a nice visit. I'll update you more later. Blessings to you all in the name of our faithful saviour, Jesus.
In Christ alone, Ben

Our prayers continue, Br. Ben. In Psalm 23, the Lord makes us lie down to restore our soul. Whenever we have had illness or disability strike, we use that time for quiet time with God and quiet time in the Word; it let us be able to hear God better. It became an opportunity to refresh and strengthen our trust and relationship with God.
May you receive many blessings in your convalescence.

Prayers for you and your family; that you will soon be well and going strong. - John has been on coumadin for a while now; and the clinic monitors him regularly. Get well soon, and "hello" to Darlene and all the family. - Twinkie King
