Scripture = bullying?

Some Tennessee residents are upset over a highway billboard that calls homosexual conduct sin, but the "concerned Christian" behind the sign stands by its message.
Ronnie Monday and other Christians in the Portland, Tennessee, area near Nashville financed a billboard on Highway 52 that on one side quotes Leviticus 18:22, which condemns homosexual sin. The other side reads, "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin."
Regardless of criticism, Monday maintains the billboard has a purpose.
"The things that are going on in the United States in particular are definitely going against God's will, and that's my feeling," he tells OneNewsNow. "The message on the billboard is not my message; it's God's message."
Some Christians have accused Monday of bullying and "gay bashing," but he believes he is doing what is right.
"These people are demanding that the lawmakers, the politicians recognize their sin as being legal, and they want laws passed to let them live in sin legally," the Tennessean notes.
Thieves, for example, are also sinners, according to scripture - but Monday points out they are not pressing society or lawmakers to accept their lifestyle as legitimate. And though he is aware of the objections and a reported petition drive to have the Portland billboard removed, he encourages people nationwide to conduct similar campaigns.
Meanwhile, he has just signed a contract for another six months.
