A list of 21 reported cases of women being sexually assaulted by transgender men has been compiled by FRC – incidents that span from 1999 to 2017 – with the most of the incidents occurring in women’s restrooms, locker rooms and other private spaces taking place within the past decade.
Target stores – which have been the subject of a nationwide boycott campaign led by the conservative American Family Association (AFA) for putting women and children at risk due to their transgender policies in women’s facilities – provided the venue for the latest recorded assault.
“The most recent case was reported on Jan. 17 by WPRI, concerning a man who mounted a camera inside the family bathroom at a Target store in Lincoln, Rhode Island,” The Christian Post (CP) reported from FRC’s list. “Umit Cakmak, 41, of Providence, was arrested by Lincoln police and charged with video voyeurism, with reports noting that the man already had an active warrant for the same crime.”
Just months earlier, a Target on the other side of the country was the location where another sexual predator staged an assault on a woman.
“In a similar case from July 2016, in Idaho Falls, a man who identifies as transgender was arrested on one count of felony voyeurism for taking photos of another woman changing clothes at a Target store in Ammon,” CP’s Stoyan Zaimov informed. link
