Greetings in the Lord from Texas. I am currently attending an Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church which does not teach headcovering, although my convictions about covering full time (both in obedience to I Corinthians 11 and for purposes of modesty), are quite strong. I regret introducing a tone of negativity into my introduction, but I must confess to feeling quite isolated in my walk with God. I have not found another person who shares my convictions about modest dress and headcovering, although the rest of the teachings and practices of my current church are very much in line with my own convictions. It was a blessing to find this group. I look forward to fellowshipping with you all, even if it is from afar!

Welcome Linda. There are some here who are in the same situation as you are about head covering convictions. And I don't ever remember meeting anyone who agreed with 100% of everything their church teaches.
I think the one question you might ask yourself is how important to you is the teaching on head covering. Is it important enough to be willing to switch churches? If it is I think Br.Randy might know of some churches in Texas you could attend.

Welcome Linda, I find that no matter what I obey God and He will lead you on what to do next. There are many people in my church who don't agree either, but I continue to follow what the Lord tells me to do in spite of what they say.
