Study reaffirms women suffer after abortions Thursday, November 9, 2017 | Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com)
Abortion and its aftereffects can be avoided through an approach pro-life groups are already using.
Dr. Gregory Pike, an Australian researcher and founding director of the Adelaide Centre for Bioethics and Culture, has released an extensive study (see related report) that confirms previous research. Women who have abortions are far more likely to experience medical and psychological problems – including early death.
Dr. Randall K. O'Bannon of the National Right to Life Committee comments that while abortionists want the public to think they have disproven ill effects from abortion, evidence continues to mount that serious consequences exist.
Another study, this one in Finland, suggests that women seeking abortions don't want to kill their babies. Rather they want help in such areas as education, finances, and careers.
“What they need is, in fact, assistance, and support,” says O'Bannon. “And when they have that, a lot of these women are going to choose life for their babies and for themselves."
That is why pro-life pregnancy centers give women a better option, he adds. link
