Saturday, May 19, 2018 | Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com)A group of pastors in Ohio is calling on Americans to join them in the battle to fight judicial tyranny.
More than 100 Ohio pastors have signed off on a letter to the state legislature and members of their congressional delegation asking for action to protect the sanctity of human life.
J.C. Church of Victory in Truth Ministries explained that time and time again, judges have made law – which is actually a role of Congress and state lawmakers.
“When you look at the judicial branch, you have had – just as an example – in President Trump's presidency, 22 nationwide injunctions [were issued] by inferior federal courts ordering the entire federal government to not enforce the executive branch policy or statute that was given,” the church explained.
For instance, Ohio passed a law banning abortions solely on the basis of Down Syndrome.
Federal Judge Timothy Black, who once served as President of Planned Parenthood of Cincinnati, overturned the law – a decision that is being appealed. However, the United States Constitution provides separation of powers – distinct roles for each branch.
America’s foundational document states that laws are only to be passed by U.S. Congress and state legislatures.
“[Congress and state lawmakers should only be passing laws,] not unelected judges that are appointed – approximately 600 of them across our country at this particular time – [judges who are] usurping authority and silencing the voters by establishing their own court of opinions of law in the land,” the church continued in its statement.
The Ohio pastors are encouraging other pastors to speak out about this breach of authority and urges Americans throughout the country to write their state and federal elected representatives – encouraging them to get the ball rolling now to stop judicial tyranny.
