Dear Brothers and Sisters...I needed to share something that happen to me tonight that will haunt me for a very long time...About 20 feet from my back door in the alley is a small duplex...in that duplex lived a older gentleman who lost his wife two years ago to cancer...he was a very nice old man, but very lonely...I procrastinated about going and visiting him and taking him cookies or something...but I was always too busy...I never visited, I never took cookies, and worst of all I never told him about Jesus...I never made time for the older man living 20 feet from my back door...now it is too late...he took his own life tonight 20 feet from my back door...I never visited, I never took cookies and I will never know if he knew Jesus, because I never told him, because I never took the time to care Please Dear Jesus forgive me, I am so ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dearest Debbie, Bless your sweet heart. I know that must be hard and an eye opener. This will prevoke all of us to be more faithful at being a witness while we can. We do not know what tomarrow may hold. Thank you so very much for shareing this very painful thing with us. You are precious and I love you very much. The Lord will greatly use you sister if you will stay yeilded like this to Jesus. Have a great day! Love ya, ~ Darlene ~

"I care not where I go, or how I live, or what I endure so that I may save souls. When I sleep I dream of them; when I awake they are first in my thoughts…no amount of scholastic attainment, of able and profound exposition of brilliant and stirring eloquence can atone for the absence of a deep impassioned sympathetic love for human souls." -David Brainerd
When Darlene and I read this sad letter from Sister Debbie, we too were both saddened. I have been convicted about the lack of evangelistic zeal in my own life. I used to be a busy soul winner. I beleive it is a good measuring stick to see if a group us busy leading people to Christ. I know there are differences of opinion on just "how" to do it, but doing it is far better than just talking about it. I would consider it a blessing if those of you who care to pray would remember me in your prayers that I might have the passion of David Brainerd above who literally burned himself out winning the lost, and most of them American Indians in Colonial America.
