I'm seeing that a lot of you are suffering from colds, etc., so I wanted to share a recipe that I make when someone(s) in our family has those issues. Garlic Lemonade is the best remedy I have found for soothing cold & flu symptoms, clearing congestion and healing a sinus infection. Garlic is a natural "antibiotic" and helps clear congestion, and the lemon is loaded with vitamin C! You will need: 4 cups pure water 3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped 1-2 lemons a quart jar with seal or lid honey Boil the water in a saucepan. Remove from heat, add the garlic and cover. Let steep for 30 minutes. Strain the garlic water into quart jar. (Dispose of garlic pieces.) Squeeze the juice of 1 large or 2 small lemons into the jar. Pour warm garlic lemonade into a cup and sweeten with honey to taste, about 1-2 tablespoons. I cover the leftover garlic lemonade in the jar and let my patient sip on it all day. It can be reheated over low heat on the stove, but not boiled, and not heated in the microwave. Those methods destroy the vitamin C and the helpful qualities of the garlic. The name of the drink doesn't sound good, but you'll be surprised how pleasant-tasting it is, especially when you're ill. The warm drink is soothing, and really helps you start feeling better right away. Health to you all! Sis. Tammy

Sister, I'm trying that right now! Thank you very much, and thank you all for praying for me. I feel better already (after a good 11 hours of sleep...I praise God for these single years where I can do that!).
Love in Christ,
Sarah

Sister, wow! Number one, that DOES taste surprisingly good (it helps that I love garlic!). But now, about twenty minutes after I drank a nice big mug of it, I can breathe through my nose, something that wasn't true last night. I thank you so much for that recipe!
Love in Christ,
Sarah
