Glenda, When you are tired, your body is begging for rest. You truly do just have to "cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He careth for you." He really does want us to, especially every night before we go to sleep - and then go to sleep and get as many hours of sleep as we need. If we don't get our full 8 hours at night, we need a nap (even 15 or 20 minutes is a refresher) in the afternoon. If you work outside the home, even an afterwork short rest would be good. As far as iron in the diet; cooking in a cast iron skillet is one good way to get our quota or iron. Another way is eating a bit of good, lean red meat along is a good way to get our iron, that and egg yolks (cook eggs in the cast iron skillet). I've never heard of anyone who's allergic to cast iron! I suppose there's always a first time. If you eat mostly vegetables or are a vegetarian, it is hard to get both the iron and the B-12 that you need. I was talking with a retired doctor a few years ago who had practiced medicine in California. He said that he treated a lot of people who were in the "health foods" industry who would come to him for their Vitamin B-12 shots. He told them they needed to get some good organic beef, organic buffalo, eat some eggs so they wouldn't have to come to him for treatment. He said most of them were loathe to do that because they were afraid that their vegetarian customers would see them in either the grocery stores or some restaurant eating meat and quit coming to their seminars and businesses. His own granddaughter was a vegetarian and was so emaciated that when he took her in she was seriously ill. He started feeding her good quality meats and foods in general and she got well. Remembering to wash hands a few times a day is also supposed to help stave off colds, especially when you're out in public touching things after many hands have touched them. Of course, oranges, blueberries and other fruits are good and contain Vit. C in its natural form. - A lot of stress is in our minds, so we have some good Bible verses to fight that battle. We truly have to honestly turn whatever it is that's bothering us over to the Lord and cast it on Him. . and trust in Him and not listen to the worry, worry, worry of our own understanding - "lean not unto thine own understanding" in these sorts of things. Hope your cold is over soon. M.

Glenda
If your iron stores are low, you may feel very tired and look pale. Have you been tested for anemia ?
IRON RICH FOODS
Meats: lean beef, lean pork, skinned poultry, shellfish, fish, liver, organ meats
Egg yolks: very high in cholesterol and should not be used if you are on a low cholesterol diet.
Dried beans or peas: pinto, kidney, lima, navy, chick peas, black-eyed peas, lentils, split peas, green peas
Green leafy vegetables: spinach, kale, collards, beet greens, chard, broccoli
Dried fruits: raisins, prunes, figs, dates, dried peaches, dried apricots
Nuts and peanut butter
Grains iron fortified cereals ( read labels ), enriched breads, whole grain breads
Your body absorbs iron from animal foods more easily than iron in foods from plants. To help your body absorb plant iron, include a source of Vitamin C with your meal.
Sources of Vitamin C include: citrus fruit or juice, tomatoes, broccoli, melons, strawberries, and most deep colored fruits and vegetables

Sister Glenda
Matthew 21 : 22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
If needed, ask God to increase your faith. He can lighten your burden, remove depression, strengthen you, comfort you, give you peace and joy etc ...
