Hi, everyone As you probably know, I am not a parent. But I am taking an ASL storytelling class and for our finals, we are required to tell a children's story in ASL. I am wondering if any of you could recommend a book for me. There are a few requirements, though: 1. It must have pictures (you know the kind, the little skinny picture books, they usually have words on one side and pictures on the other, although that's not hard and fast). 2. It must be a story that takes between I'd say 4 and 6 minutes to tell. 3. There must be at least three characters, preferably with relatively simple names (I can't tell you how taxing it is to fingerspell "Methuselah"!). 4. I am doing this in front of a class of twenty-somethings, so the vocabulary needs to be moderate level (meaning not a baby book or a learning-to-read type book). I would love it if the story has some sort of a Christian message, be it an allegory or an exposition of some virtue. I am going to need to borrow the book from a library, unless the text and pictures are available online, so please keep that in mind . Any ideas? Thanks so much! Love in Christ, Sarah

Hi Sarah, I just saw your post today and thought I would reply. I like any of the My First Little House series of books. They are adapted from the original Little House books. If you can get a hold of any Little Jewel books though they won't be in the library. You can maybe find out if any of the mom's at your church has them. If I think of others I will post them.
