I thought some of you might be interested in a whole foods coop that I order from. These are sister coops located on opposite sides of Michigan. There is no fee and you can order monthly or whenever you want to. A group of ladies and I order about 2 times a year. You have to have a $400- $450 order depending on which branch you order from and there is a 10 percent fuel surcharge at this time also. You need to call and see if there is a pickup place convenient for you on their route. For example I pick up my order about a half an hour away from here, by the turnpike in the holiday inn parking lot and pull my car up to the back of their truck and load the car up, I usually take a helper. I have been very pleased with the prices and quality of their food. The websites for more info. are somethingbetternaturalfoods.com which delivers to michigan, ohio, pennsylvania, tennesee, georgia, alabama, indiana, w.virginia, kentucky and n.carolina. the other one is clnf.org. they deliver to s.michigan, upperpeninsula above wisconsin,wisconsin,nw.indiana,n.illinois,minneapolis/duluth area missouri, oklahoma and arkansas. Anyway if you have any questions let me know. Diana

Dear sister Diana,
Thank you so much for this coop information! I will keep it and probably order once a year by myself. I do not have any sisters to order with yet.
I will probably order their wheat. I made a wheat and 6 gal bucket order over $600.00 back in Nov, it will probably last us a while. I also ordered oxygen packets.
I can find most of the items I need for pretty good prices just shopping around here.
I get a really good deal on my raw sugar at the Mexican grocery. No one speaks English there except the casher, and hers is choppy. But I love their products. I buy Ben sardines from Spain, they are real sardines not just a small fish.
We get really neat soaps there too.
I get really good deals on frozen veggies (good quality) from a restaurant supply store called Palmer's, 20lb boxes for $20.00 and 40lb of boneless skinless chicken breast for $40.00.
I shop at Sam's and GFS (Gordan's Food Service), sometimes Costco ( I need to renew my membership), and a neat store called UGO (United Grocery Outlet), and I shop at Save a Lot, Aldis, and the Dollar Tree.
I plan my trips so I'm not running all over town, I also buy alot at one time.
I am always looking for ways to save money.
Love, ~ sister Darlene~

I just noticed today as I was reading through some more posts that the coop I order from was already listed under Darlenes list of coop info. Sorry I didn't know that as I hadn't read it before. Diana
