I believe this falls into the category of science so I deemed it proper to post it here. If it is in the wrong place I am will move it for me.
I am really excited about what is happening in our Church this week. We have a man in (I am sorry I have forgotten his name) who preaches on creationism. He has been in our Christian School so far this week but starting this evening he is going to preach on it.
Then Saturday morning from 9-11 we are going to have a "Creation Seminar" which is open to anyone who wants to attend. It is my fervent prayer we will have some unbelievers, non-churched and evolutionists In attendance. It is a wonderful opportunity to present the world as it actually was formed rather than the way the worldly folks present it.
It reminds me of a little ditty I heard some time ago which many of you may have already heard:
Once I was a tadpole long and thin, Then I was a froggy with my tail tucked in. Then I was a monkey swinging from a tree, and now I am a doctor with a Ph.D.
In Christ, George

That sounds like it would be a very interesting seminar. Praying that you get the turnout that you desire.
And I liked the little ditty.

Last night we were privileged to hear an absolutely wonderful presentation on Creation. It was amazing. Brother Russ Miller covered Noah's Ark, the flood and dinosaurs. It was really something how he went through the Bible and showed us exactly how many animals Noah actually had on the ark. If you take the time to read the narrative of that very carefully you can see that it was not millions of animals because it did not include insects, sea creatures and a number of other things of that nature. He also presented that there were actually dinosaurs, yes, dinosaurs aboard the ark. However he showed that through scientific evidence rather than the huge things we see so often the average size of a dinosaur is actually that of a common house cat. He also said that he believes that when it concerns such things as elephants and rhinos and what not the Lord provided for young ones so that not only were they smaller they were of the age where they would reproduce when the waters receded. One thing he pointed out that I had missed in the Bible was really important. I have often wondered how Noah, his sons and daughters-in-law could gather up all those animals. The Bible says they came to him. That explains that. When he turned to dinosaurs he pointed out that they most definitely lived alongside man. In Genesis it tells us they were created on the 6th day at the same time period as man. He then went through the Bible and pointed out the references to the dinosaurs such as Behemoth, Leviathan and others. He was even able to show us through he Bible and what we know from fossil evidence that there were actually fire-breathing dragons on the earth as it is said in the Bible. Brother Miller was able to go through and completely debunk the scientists statements that dinosaurs vanished 65 million years ago. My goodness we are still finding some remnants of them in modern times. He showed a photo of a dinosaur that washed up on the beach in Monterrey, CA in the '50s. He also told us or reminded us of the lobe-finned fish that was first caught off the coast of Madagascar in 1938 and has been caught and sighted many more times. I do not know if his talk will be on our web site or not. However if you would like to check give it a few days and then go to www.firstbaptistsantamaria.org. On the home page you find a link to sermon audio. I am really looking forward to the two-hour seminar he is putting on Saturday morning. He gave us some hints of some of the things he will be presenting and it sounds really interesting. Some of the prayers were answered also. The Church was packed last night. We had all of the older AWANA children in for the presentation which was especially nice since the vast majority of them attend secular schools were they are constantly being mislead about these things. We are also starting the Golden State Association of Christian Schools competition today so we had a lot of the youngsters from that attending also. I do not know of any that got saved last night but I do know that he asked how many people believed in the Biblical accounts of the flood, the ark and dinosaurs. It warmed my heart to see that over half of the people present raised their hands that they did. Most of them were Church members which show me our Pastor must be doing a pretty good job of teaching the Bible. At the close of his presentation he asked the questions again and the number of hands which were raised was a lot more than it was in the beginning. Praise the Lord for that! Well, enough out of me. I will post again Saturday or Sunday to let you all know what happened Saturday morning. In Christ, George
