Hello everyone, I am excited to be a new member to this forum. My name is debbieo and I have a soap company called Pink Monkey Soap. Brother Ben asked me to introduce myself so everyone didnt have to call me sister pink, sister monkey or sister soap. I prefer sister Debbie. I am not a covering or dresses only lady but I have friends who are. I am a conservative old fashioned, make it from scratch, grind my own grains kind of gal. I am thankful to be allowed to participate in this group.

And we are very pleased that you have found us and also that you decided to join us. By the time you decided to join us you most likely already discovered that this is a group of very loving, kind and God-fearing people. We have a true spirit of family here headed by our leader and site Pastor Brother Ben and his dear wife Sister Darlene. They and I share a common background. I was also a '60s hippie. I was into drugs, alcohol, hard rock music, the concert scene and things of that nature. God pulled me up out of all of that as He did the Smiths. I refer to Psalm 40:1-3 in that matter.
As for me you find I am the draw a line in the sand, take a stance and be ready to back anything and everything up with the Bible. At times I can appear harsh but it is meant in a loving and corrective way. It is meant as what the Bible refers to as reproof or reproving. It is part of my spiritual gift.
Again we are pleased to have you with us. I pray you enjoy your stay with us and perhaps learn some practical and spiritual things too.
In Christ, George

I had some wild years but no drugs. I drank a bit for a year and never really liked it. Good thing. I love the Lord and his people. I am trying to be more loving and not so judgemental. I want to listen and love others and show them the way to God. I have five daughters. Two are married. The 17 year old is in her second year of bible college. We homeschool. We are selling our hom and moving into our 5th wheel because we feel the direction to be debt free asap. We feel like God will call us as soon as we get mobile. We should be in the 5th wheel by Oct. 1st.

Dear sister Debbie,
Were is God calling you, as soon as you get mobile? To the ministry? or to move to another state? We will be praying for you.
It's good to have you here with us! Welcome.

Welcome, Sister Debbie! I am a conservative, old-fashioned, make it from scratch, grind my own grains kinda gal, too. ;o) Have you homeschooled for several years? What curriculum do you like? That is interesting that you feel God's leading to be debt free. I'd like to hear more about that.

We have homeschooled for 5 or 6 years. My 17 year old went to bible college at 16 just after her sophmore year, she really didnt need any more high school. She ended up being the youngest by far and ended the year at the top of her class with a 4.0 and 100.8. She called the other day all upset because she is still the youngest. I just laughed. She wants to be a missionary doctor so we thought we'd get her bible school in before she decided she wanted to go straight to college. The next girl just turned 16 last week and is a junior. She will finish high school before she heads to bible college. That is jut how she is. She wants to be a physical therapist and get married and be a mom. The youngest will turn 14 tomorrow and she is in the 8th grade. She is not decided on what she wants to do. My husband and I have both felt for a while that God wanted us to be missionary helpers somewhere. We began feeling the tug harder in the last few months. So we said if its God will, okie dokie. Next thing we knew the house sold, the tractor sold, etc. Things are just going like clockwork so we know its God's will. We do not know where God will call us. We both feel that once we are in the rv and ready to go, He will let us know. We do know we are just servants and not preachers or teachers. We are the ones that hold the babies, clean the bathrooms, and take care of the needful things so the ministers and preachers and missionaries can do their work. I know that to obey is much easier than to disobey. How about you? What is your story?

Hello Sister Debbie and welcome,
I was just wondering, is it possible to go to bible college without completing high school? I'm not sure what year sophomore is (here, high school starts when you're about thirteen, with Year Eight, the ninth year of schooling) but most Bible colleges I've looked at require at least Year Twelve standard of education (finished at about aged seventeen). I'm fourteen now (year nine in some subjects, year ten in others) and I want to go to bible college in a few years.
I was wondering what a fifth wheel means but I guess it means like sort of a grey nomad (that's what we call people who live in caravans/campervans and travel, even if they're not grey). Is this right?
So anyway, welcome to the site, it sounds like you will provide some lively conversation!
God bless,
From Rachel.

Rachel, Yes a 5th wheel is a type of camper. The bible college my daughter attends is a free bible college and she was approved to go at a young age. Other kids have gone at 16 but she is the first one to be successful. She was homeschooled so we decided when she was done with high school. Technically she should still be in high school. She is extremely intellegent and it was just wasting her time. She ended her first year at bible college at the top of the class with a 4.0 and a 100.8culmative score. She is still the youngest at the school.

Also sister Rachel, I forgot to mention that high school in the states starts at 9th grade and is called freshman, then 10th grade is sophmore, then 11th grade is junior and 12th grade is senior. You graduate at the end of your senior year. In college you start all over again with freshman, sophmore, junior and then senior. Then if you go on with college its post graduate studies. Some get their masters or doctorates. My second daughter is a teacher and she needed 5 years of college. She only had to take 4 1/2 because she completed 1/2 year at the same time she was in high school.

I pray that the Lord will give you clear direction soon, as to where He would have your family serve! Praise the Lord!
We are on the mission field in Guatemala, planting a church. So thankful!

Hello from another Sister Debbi. Although I don't put the "E" after the "I". We had three Debbie's in my first grade class One was Debby one was Debbie and so I dropped the "E" so the teacher knew who's paper was who's and it stuck!
I am also new here. I will keep you in my prayers for direction on the missionary field.
Debbi
