Today I made 7 qts of Homemade Applesauce, in about 1 hour and 30 min. It came out to 1.39 per qt.... not bad! Victorio Strainer (google it ) I made delicious Tomato juice this summer using this. Wash sweet apples like Golden Delicious, I used some called Jazz they are pretty sweet. I got them for .75 cents a pound. I wash my apples in warm soapy water with a clean scrubby sponge to remove any wax residue. Remove stem, cut in quarters. Put in large pot fill bottom of pot with about two inches of water, bring to a boil, then simmer until apples are soft. Ladle into Victorio strainer, turn crank, I run the pulp through twice. Fill jars to 1/2 inch head space, water bath 20 min. This is so good and sugar free. Pure goodness.
