Brothers and Sisters there were certainly a lot of hugs and tears of joy in the Groce household yesterday evening. I had a very late appointment with my oncologist to go over my CT scans from last Friday. I did not get to see the doctor until almost 6PM. (He works until 7 on Thursday) I should have known something was up because h e h ad a big smile on his face when he came into the room and we right away lapsed into small talk instead of getting into the medical "stuff."
The results of the scans show that all but two of my tumors have actually been reduced in size and the remaining two are stable. Because two have not actually shrunk we have to call the whole thing stable. Stable is a wonderful word! When you consider that exactly 10 weeks ago today I almost went to heaven from the OR at my local hospital and today I am stable if is amazing.
Praise God for His goodness, grace, mercies and answers to prayer. Without so many people praying for me I have no idea what the results may have shown. However God does still answer prayers of His people. That is truly evident in my case. Last night it was similar to getting a new lease on life and I can say that I was higher on God and life than I ever was on any kind of drugs or alcohol.
What an awesome God we serve!
In Christ, George
