Dear Praying Friends, I had another foot surgery yesterday to straighten out my toe, the Ortho had to put in a spacer and 2 more screws to hold it in place. I am praying this all holds tight and no more loose screws have to come out, I heard far too many jokes on that one.
The pain is quite severe now but compared to the daily pain of RA, (Brother Ben you can relate) its just more concentrated in the foot and everywhere else I am not too bothered with too much for the time being.
I am in bed resting for a day or so and have 2 of our old kitties here keeping me company and the benefits of Hughesnet and this laptop I am able to get some letters written and possibly check out a few gifts for my hubby without him knowing.
God bless you all and many thanks for your prayers. Love in the Lord, Sister Penny in cold, snowy Michigan

My word Sister Penny, of course you shall have my prayers. Let us pray mostly that you will not have to have any more of these. I can vouch for the fact that surgery is not fun and neither is the recovery period. It has to be rough to have that problem with you foot. We rely so much on them. I recall years back when I had a 5 or 6-year period of constant problems with my right foot and ankle. I was i n a cast many times but fortunately and by the grace of God had surgery for it only once.
I also pray that you recovery well before Christmas sets upon us. It seems for me that with all that is going on in Church plus the house there is just not enough time to get everything done. Cooking is one of my most favorite activities. I can not imagine how I could do much of that with a hobbled foot.
We shall have continued faith that the Great Physician shall provide for all your needs Sister Penny.
In Christ, George

Ouch sister Penny, I will pray for you! Big Hug!
Our feet are so important to us, and when they hurt we feel undone.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and the kind words. I actually smacked my foot today and caused it to start bleeding along one of the stitchin' lines, ouch, just hit it with my right foot...trust me I don't have HUGE feet but the left foot is so swollen and bruised since this I think any tap would have caused it to open up. I am wearing a 2 plus inch high orthopaedic type boot thingy, which makes me walk quite oddly to say the least, its a big challenge walking in the snow to the car..
God bless you all
Love in the Lord, Sister Penny
