I have another praise ! A woman we have never met came to our hose today with 3 bags full of groceries; she is a friend of a friend. Our friend told her about us choosing to home school and further shared with her friend what I shared with all of you in my post from yesterday (about our income and God providing even after losing my salary, hubby's pay cut, etc.); the lady was moved and wanted to do something nice for us and this is what she chose.
Now we are not starving, but things are tight for us especially from the first of the month to the middle (it is when our biggest bills are due), so these items were definitely a blessing. God provides in many ways and He used this woman and our mutual friend as vessels for His provision. How wonderful that this lady followed the Lord's leading. We are immeasurable blessed. May God bless this woman many times over, for her faithfulness and generosity.
Just had to share; Hallelujah!!!

Isn't it wonderful to see how God meets us where we are and provides for His children? Years ago our budget was especially tight. We were in desperate need of a dependable vehicle as the one we had developed a warped engine block. (very bad) We were able to save up a small sum of money and my husband diligently went looking for a vehicle to purchase. (We pay cash for our cars as we do not like to carry a car note) We prayed about it and God eventually led us to a gentleman who was selling his deceased fathers old car. Although the car was old, it was in great shape! Had very few miles on it as his father did not drive it often. The interior was also in great shape & still looked almost new. The only thing wrong with it was a bit of rust and the front end was mashed up. Other than that, it was ready to drive. It was driveable although it looked wrecked in the front end as well as one of the fenders. He brought it home. A week later, we had to go out of town to attend a family get together. While visiting family out of town, we discovered their neighbor had passed away and his widow was trying to get rid of all the old cars he'd parked out behind the house on the edge of the woods. There in the midst of the cars was a car like ours with a front end to fit ours! My husband approached her about buying the front end of it from her. She said, "No, you may just have it for free if you take the whole thing away from here." We did so and got many parts to fix our car up nicely and spare parts "just in case". The rest went to the salvage yard. My husband can paint cars and was able to make it look nice. God provides! We drove that car many many years until Michigan's winter salted roads took their toll on the floorpans! Thanks for sharing with us Joanne!
