At home we like to play board games (we have many "Bible" versions of games), read books aloud (Just finished The Swiss Family Robinson", play music and sing (both the boys play guitar and Daddy sings, Mama hums along). The boys especially enjoy building things out of wood and making structures out of natural materials. We currently have a lean-to/fort in our front yard, made with limbs that were scavenged from around the neighborhood after the last tornado that came through.
We have also really enjoyed learning more about homesteading and self sufficient living; we do projects such as making and using a solar oven. The boys thought that was great.
Away from home we like to camp, hike, fish, bike; we love the out of doors.
Hobby-wise, the boys enjoy drawing and various types of crafts; MacKenzie (our oldest son) especially likes to craft things out of duct tape (rose pens, wallets, gift boxes, etc.). Joel (our youngest) really enjoys baking and crocheting. Charley does woodwork (all types) and I enjoy crochet, hand sewing, and embroidery.

We like playing games as well, we are slowly building our collection. We have found several at yard sales/thrift stores. We are also starting to do a little camping as a family, that should be really fun! We have a weekend planned in a couple weeks, and a longer one planned in August in South Dakota. It will be nice to get away and just be together as a family in the middle of nowhere. Since the children are small, we don't do a lot yet, but sitting down and coloring or getting in our little pool together or just cooking/baking together is a real treat for them. The children also love when we play the piano or when we sit them in a booster seat and let them play it themselves. There are so many creative things you can do with your children when the TV is not present. Honestly, when we are somewhere that has a TV, they would much rather play. They might look at the screen for a minute, but it's right back to their toys!

when my kids were all living at home we would often borrow several copies of the same book and read different characters. We loved Swiss Family Robinson!
We also all played music...guitars, bass, piano, organ and drums.
my kids all designed a product and wrote commercials for it. They taped the commercials complete with theme music
