Hello all.. I know I have posted alot lately about prayers for my mom.. At the time we thought that she was having some more Kidney problems along with gallbladder issues.. Well it turns out that it wasnt any of that at all.. She had all the signs of it.. But not even close.. Right now I am not allowed to say exactly what it is.. But I was praying about everything she is about to endure next week.. And I felt God leading me to post this and see if anyone would like to send a card letting her know how much she is being prayed for.. She has been a member on here before.. And I know that with everything that she is about to go through will be extra hard on her.. And I thought that if she left comfortable on telling you then she could.. If anyone wants to help you can either PM me.. Or I can post it on here!! Thank you to each of you!! Even if you might not know I have been very blessed by each of you!!! Blessings, Elizabeth

Thank you so much Sister Mary Jo.. She is in a lot of pain and she is not able to keep much of anything down.. Except for sprite and things like that.. Her doctors appointment went real well on monday.. And she goes for another appointment on tuesday of next week.. Also keep in prayers.. we have family coming next week.. And we really need the prayers because with them being here she is going to want to be up cooking and such.. But with how things are she really needs to rest.. Please pray that she will listen and let some of us girls take on the responsibility of the cooking.. it is very hard for her to let us take some of the load but I know that she has to do it in order to get better.. Again thank you soo much for all the prayers.. I am going to put her address on here so that way if any of yall want to send a card or something you can without having to PM me.. Glenda Gay 36 Jarrett rd. Hartselle, Al. 35640 Again thank you!!!! God bless each of you!! Blessings, Elizabeth

I am definately praying for your mother Elizabeth. My own mother had acute kidney failure 7 years ago so I know what a trying time this is for you all, especially dealing with medical personel to know what's happening. I do know that prayer can work wonders, the doctors told my mum she'd never get better and she'd be on dialysis for the rest of her life (her kidneys were at about 12% functioning) but my entire church was praying and now her kidneys are at 100%! A friend of mine is going through pretty much exactly the same thing with her dad now (his kidneys were down to about 15% and his creatinin levels had skyrocketed, but now his kidneys are functioning at about 70%. By the way, once kidneys have failed, they're not meant to get better), and the doctors are always gobsmacked and try to backtrack so fast because they have no explanation for it!
I wish I could do more to help than just pray, not that prayer isn't important, but I'm not sure what as I live on the other side of the world! Please extend my wishes for her safe recovery, and I pray for the rest of your family during this time. I hope you don't get too many foul-tasting casseroles (why do people think that giving casseroles will make everything better?).

Hello all.. I know that I have not kept any of ya'll updated about my mom.. One thing after another has come up and I completly forgot.. The doctors did find out what was wrong with her.. She has a BAD case of Colitis.. it is at the stage that medicine wont help it.. And so it causes her to have bad stomach pains and stuff like that.. On top of it all her potassium levels are EXTREMELY low and her iron levels are the same.. The other morning she went and took a shower and passed out and hit the back of her head and back.. And she called her doctors and they said that was caused by her iron and Potassium levels.. Tomorrow she is going to the doctors for a treatment and for the iv potassium, and iron.. Please pray that they can get them up... I was soo worried when she told me that she had passed out.. Another thing is.. Please pray for her.. She is going through alot these last couple months.. She found out 5 months ago that she has cancer.. At first she didnt want anyone to know.. But now she is letting people know a little at a time.. She still doesnt like to talk about it.. But just please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.. I know people say that it is harder on the other family members than it is on the person that has it but to be honest I think it is more harder on her than any of us children.. Cancer runs through her family.. She had a aunt that died in her 30's from cancer.. I keep telling her that she is going to make it through and then she will be able to say that she surived it.. She is going through chemo.. She was on the chemo pill but she had to go back on the I.V. chemo because the pill wasnt working.. She is only able to eat very little.. And she has to watch what all she eats because of the Colitis..
I pray that each of you have a very blessed day!! Elizabeth
