That is really pretty! I love it!! Thank you I am very eager to make a few more of these. I did purchase a plain ivory colored fabric from the Wal-Mart remnant bin, so I'm eager to use that as well. I was thrilled with how much my husband liked it.

That turned out great! The D covering is a nice one to make, simple and modest. It covers nicely and hangs down.
It is alot of fun sewing coverings and modest clothing. I'm not a gifted seamstress but I found easy lovely patterns and it works well. We have stuck with the same dress pattern for 12 years. The headcovering was an evolving thing, and could yet change again as the Lord grows and teaches us. I love the look of home made clothing and coverings.

I really love the veil!!! Its very pretty!! I have tried and tried to learn to make a veil. I have the pattern and all but for some reason I cant seem to get it to go right.. Is there something I am doing wrong?? My mom has even looked at it and she cant seem to know why they dont look right. Yes I agree Sister Darlene, I love to sew my own clothes and coverings too! I have mastered sewing a Nebraska style Kapp, and just now here recently got the hang of sewing a cape dress all the way through!! I was so happy when I finally got that down.. The only thing I have trouble with sewing now is the veils! If anyone has any advice I would be so greatly appreciated of it!! I pray that each of you have a blessed evening!! Blessings to all, Elizabeth

If you are having trouble going around the curved part, cut little notches then fold and sew as you go... If you need I can take step by step pics for you here is a diff pic that shows how to cut notches on a curve Iv also just got a picot foot that rolls the hem alot better.

Yes, the notches make a smooth and professional looking finish. You can use it on collars and neck lines. Jordyn
