I'm looking for a homebirth midwife in southcentral Pa, around Mercersburg, Pa, to be exact. We've had a homebirth before with a midwife from WV. The long drives will be too expensive for us this time. Her fee also went up and we are uninsured this time around. We'd appreciate any info.

Have you tried looking up Mid Wife groups on the internet?
Who do they use in the Amish/Mennonite community (though many of them use the hospital.)

Oh how nice of you to write dear Sister! I'm feeling great, thank you, the Lord is good! We decided to go with the midwife we used for our last baby since she said she will work with us regarding the fee which we can't pay all at once. She is really nice about it. Tha nk you again!

Just an update and prayer request. We have learned recently that my due date was wrong. The good news is that the date was moved up by a whole month to 7/23, so I'm a week overdue! We're expecting the baby anytime! The bad news is that my midwife is on vacation right now  and I don't know her back up person that well but that's where my prayer request comes in. Please keep me in your prayers! I know God has a perfect plan. Thank you!! Aneta |

Oh wow, sounds like you will be holding your new little one very soon! So exciting. Praying for you as you get ready to deliver and that if you end up using the back up midwife that everything will run smoothly and that you would be comfortable with her. |

Mathias Andrew was born today at home, by the grace of God, with my midwife. 9lb15oz &22.5"
Our God is an awesome God!!! Praise his holy name!!!
