For summer we make a lot of soups in the crock pot that can be chilled in our RV refrigerator and eaten cold. I'll put the soups in plastic pitchers with screw on tops to save space and make it easy to just pour out what we need. Outside of my recipe box of our traditional family favorites I'll use the allrecipes.com website to get ideas for the veg and fruit we pick up at local farmer's markets. Sometimes it's a small adventure when we get a vegetable like jicama to find ways to use it. The allrecipes site gives ratings on a recipe too. Here's a new favorite summer soup of ours we discovered when we were able to get avocados at 5 for $1 at a local farmer's market last week. Instead of the nutmeg (which we didn't have) I used garlic salt in moderation and it turned out well. I hope you enjoy. allrecipes.com/Recipe/Avocado-Soup/Detail.aspx
